Theme and Style

Gold Blitz is a bling-tastic tribute to bad taste, gold plating, and classic slot machines.

The usual fruit machine gimmicks are rendered in bright gold here with all the usual noise and chaos of slots like that but turned up to eleven.

This slot is yet another version of the one-armed bandit but this time with a whole lot more pizazz.

Graphics, Sounds and Animations

The symbols of Gold Blitz are all cheap-looking in design but drawn with great detail and care. It is a combination that seems to be present in all the design elements of this slot.

The expensive animation of tasteless artwork fits the theme of the slot perfectly. As does the tacky soundtrack with its fully instrumentalized rock and roll music and hefty sound effects.

The slot may be ugly and tasteless but the artists who put it together clearly were not.

Gameplay

Gold Blitz is a six-reel slot that comes with four rows of symbols. The anyway wins system makes for 4,096 ways to win.

The reels have Coin symbols on them. These symbols each have a randomized value (a multiplier of the player’s bet per spin). During the base game, if a Collect symbol lands, the player receives the value of all Coin symbols on the reel.

There are also (much more rarely) Jackpot symbols. These function like Coin symbols and can be collected by the player if a Jackpot symbol lands on the same spin as a Collect symbol.

The maximum win on any given round is capped at 5,000x the player’s bet.

Wilds, Bonuses and Free Spins

The Wild symbols in Gold Blitz substitute for all other symbols except the Coin, Collect, and Bonus symbols.

Three or more Bonus symbols give the player a choice of two Bonus Features. Free Spins or the Gold Blitz bonus. The player also receives a cash payout that increases by the amount of the player’s bet with each additional Bonus symbol they land.

The Free Spin Bonus is a standard free spin bonus. The more Bonus symbols that trigger the Bonus Feature, the more spins the player gets (8 for three Bonus symbols up to 30 spins for six Bonus symbols).

The Gold Blitz bonus works a little differently. The player gets a set of free spins, but now the reels are guaranteed one Collect symbol on every spin and the reels only contain Collect, Coin, Jackpot, and Blank symbols.

Bet Sizes, RTP and Variance

The return to player (RTP) of Gold Blitz is 96.00%, exactly in the range of our yardstick for average, which is roughly 96% (give or take). The RTP rises to a pretty solid 96.25% if the player buys straight into the bonus.
